The main job of folk music and researchers is to collect and study folk traditions, meaning by tradition not just beliefs and opinions that this uncultivated nation has for facts and phenomena of the universe, but about daily customs too, about various ceremonies, and the aesthetic manifestation of all kinds.
When we talk about the inceptionof folk music, we must consider it doesn’t form on its own, but with other elements which it is connected, this way it begins with ethnographic elements wich belong to it(customs, different devotions etc.), which belong to the music, dancing etc. The first in this unity, as an artistic and vital phenomenon connected with the life of the primitive human, we can say that the folk music is as old as humans. It began as a an internal need of this primitive human, on top, not as a pure artistic occurance, but as a phenomenon directly connected to his life, his survival, his life security etc.
With one word, the primitive man, powerless against different forces of reality, thinking the world as populated by spirits(animism phase), from spirits taking his side, at least thinking that way, helped him get through various difficulties in his life, which protected him from the evil, dangers of life, protected him from illness, from drought, gave him and his land fertility, but there were also spirits of evil side, which, at least thinking that way, set traps and wanted to hit him at any moment, jelous and capricious spirits, which could send him illness and death, make his products or prey not be favourably etc.
